How it works
Every step, and when the money moves.
Most of the worry in buying placements is about money: paying up front and hoping. So here's the whole process, with the money written in at each step.
If you're buying
Buying a placement.
-
1
Top up your balance.
By card, UPI or netbanking, in rupees or dollars. Unused balance doesn't expire.
-
2
Order.
From the marketplace, or from a list the planner suggests.
MoneyThe full amount, fee included, moves from your balance into escrow. We hold it, not the publisher.
-
3
The publisher accepts.
They have 3 days.
MoneyIf they decline or don't answer, all of it goes back to your balance.
-
4
The piece gets written.
You send it, the publisher drafts it for you to approve, or we draft it from your brand kit. Up to 3 rounds of changes.
-
5
It goes live.
We load the page and check your link is there, with the attribute you paid for, and that the page can be indexed.
-
6
You approve it.
If you don't respond within 72 hours and our check passed, it's approved for you.
MoneyNow, and only now, the publisher is paid.
-
7
We keep checking.
Every day for 90 days.
MoneyIf the link breaks and isn't fixed, you can claim a refund.
If you're selling
Selling placements.
-
1
List your publication.
A site, newsletter, podcast or channel, with a price for each kind of placement.
-
2
Prove it's yours.
A DNS record, a meta tag, or signing in with Google Search Console.
-
3
We review it.
A person looks at every publication before buyers can see it, usually within a working day.
-
4
Accept the orders you want.
Decline the rest, no explanation needed beyond a line for the buyer.
MoneyThe buyer has already paid by the time you see a request.
-
5
Publish and paste the link.
We check it automatically.
-
6
Get paid.
When the buyer approves, or the timer runs out with our check passing.
MoneyThe money lands in your balance. Withdrawals go out within 3 working days.
Have a look around the marketplace.
It's free to sign up, publication names show as soon as you do, and you only pay when you order.
