Dofollow link

Informal name for a link with no sponsored, nofollow or ugc value in its rel attribute, which search engines may count as an endorsement.

"Dofollow" isn't an actual attribute; it simply means a normal link with no qualifier. Editorial links earned on merit are usually dofollow. On paid placements, Google expects sponsored or nofollow instead, and treats unmarked paid links as a link scheme.
