Nofollow link

A link marked rel="nofollow", asking search engines not to treat it as an endorsement.

Nofollow was the original way to mark links you don't vouch for. Google now treats it as a hint rather than a strict rule, and accepts it in place of rel="sponsored" on paid links. Nofollow links still bring visitors and can still be read by AI assistants that browse the page.
